Data controller

The data controller is DGM Elettronica S.r.l., with registered office at Via E. Fermi, 5 — Zona Industriale, 63075 Acquaviva Picena (AP), Italy, VAT no. IT01987190673.

For any matter relating to the processing of your data you can write to debora.m@dgmelettronica.it or call +39 347 127 4652.

What data we collect

Through the contact form on the website we collect only the data you choose to enter:

  • first name and surname;
  • email address;
  • company name and phone number, if provided;
  • the subject of the request and the content of your message;
  • any attached files (for example Gerber files, bills of materials, drawings or photos) and any link to shared files.

Attached files are stored on the website server in a folder that cannot be reached from the web, can be viewed only by authorised staff, and are deleted together with the request they belong to. Please do not include in your files personal data of third parties that is not needed for the request.

Providing your data is optional, but without your name, email address and message we cannot reply to your request. After you send it, a confirmation of receipt is sent to the email address you gave.

The website does not use profiling systems or third-party advertising tracking tools.

Browsing data and statistics

As with any website, for technical and security reasons the server records some access data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in the hosting provider's logs, which are kept for the period set by the service.

To count visits the website uses an internal counter, with no cookies and no external services. The IP address is not stored: from the address, with its last part removed, and the browser type, an anonymous fingerprint is calculated that changes every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next and the address cannot be traced. For each day we record only the number of pages viewed, the referring site and the type of device (computer, phone or tablet).

The website also measures, anonymously and in aggregate and without cookies, how the pages are used (referrer, reading time, sections read, device type, loading time, clicks on contact details and buttons, use of the contact form without its content, searches on the site): each page view is recorded on its own, with no codes that could identify the person. Only if you accept statistics in the cookie notice are visits linked to a random code stored in your browser, to know who comes back and the path between pages; the code is never linked to your IP address, name or email. The full list is in the Cookie Policy. This data stays on our server and is not shared with third parties.

To protect the contact form from automated submissions, the website keeps a non-reversible fingerprint of the sender's IP address for one hour and checks that the domain of the email address can receive mail.

Why we process it

Form data is processed solely to reply to the requests we receive, prepare quotations and manage any business relationship that may follow. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for administrative matters, compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Browsing data, anonymous aggregate statistics and the form protections are based on the controller's legitimate interest in the security, proper functioning and improvement of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Per-visitor statistics and automatic loading of the map are based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code), which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie preferences”, at the bottom of every page, with no effect on your browsing.

How long we keep it

Data relating to contact requests is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and, if a business relationship follows, for the period required by the applicable civil and tax obligations. Requests that do not lead to a relationship are deleted when they are no longer needed for the ongoing correspondence.

As well as by email, requests are recorded in the archive of the website's staff area, which only authorised staff can access, and are deleted from it on the same basis. The fingerprint used against automated submissions is deleted after one hour.

Detailed statistics are kept for 13 months, after which only totals remain, with no codes; the consent record is kept for 25 months.

Job applications

If you send an application from the Careers page, you give us the data you choose to enter: first name and surname, email, phone, town of residence, position or area of interest, a short presentation and your attached CV.

The data is used only to assess your application for open positions and for any that may open later, and to contact you for an interview. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures requested by you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for speculative applications consent is not required (Art. 111-bis of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code).

Please do not include in your CV data that is not relevant to recruitment, in particular health data or other special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR); if present, it is processed only as strictly necessary, within the limits allowed by employment law.

Applications can be viewed only by the people in charge of recruitment, in the staff area of the website and in the company mailbox. They are kept for 24 months from submission and then deleted, together with the CV; before then you can ask for them to be updated or deleted by writing to debora.m@dgmelettronica.it. The rights described in section 8 apply.

Who we may share it with

Data is not sold or transferred to third parties. It may be processed by parties providing technical or professional services to the controller — in particular the hosting and email provider and the accountant — appointed as processors where required. Data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Your rights

At any time you can exercise the rights provided by Articles 15–22 GDPR:

  • access your data and obtain a copy;
  • request its rectification or erasure;
  • request restriction of processing or object to it;
  • request data portability;
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

Requests should be sent to debora.m@dgmelettronica.it and are answered within the legal time limits.

Cookies

The website uses technical cookies needed for it to work and, only with your consent, first-party statistics cookies to recognise returning visitors. Anonymous statistics do not use cookies. No advertising or profiling cookies are used. Categories, durations and how to change your choice are described in the Cookie Policy.
